For medical education- NSFE. These are comedones and milia. Both are benign growths that occur on the face. In older individuals, comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) are caused by years of sun exposure. All the above growths can be expressed with a comedone extractor.
The gentleman, whose small comedones I extract on the neck has deep creases in his neck due to chronic sun exposure. This is a condition called Cutis Rhomboidalis Nuchae. We dermatologists like to sound fancy by using latin and “big words”. 🙂
