Three milia extracted on the face
This lovely woman was the last patient of the day for me. She had three bumps on her face that she wanted removed if possible. Although, she didn’t know about my youtube channel or instagram, she is a “popaholic”, meaning, she loves to pop her own blackheads and whiteheads.
Well, she couldn’t remove these areas, since they are milia, and usually no matter how much you may squeeze or pinch your skin, you won’t be able to remove them unless you first have the superficial skin nicked with a sharp blade.
Also, it’s impossible to squeeze a milium that’s right along the eyelash line. In this case, I use a light cautery to dessicate/dry out the area, and the milium will come out over the next couple days to week.
Remember, milia are benign, superficial cysts most commonly seen on the face. They don’t need to be removed, but often people don’t like how they look or feel, so they seek removal of these lesions.
