This is an epidermoid cyst that was removed on the left earlobe under local anesthesia alone. The area can be removed out of a small incision, but the entire cyst sac must be removed in order to prevent recurrence. Cysts are common growths that can occur and are not life-threatening. source

For medical education- NSFE. Extracting comedones caused by excess sun exposure, a condition called Favre-Racouchot.
