Surgical Repair of a Torn Earlobe

This patient came to see me to see if I could repair the tear in her right earlobe, that occurred after her earring snagged and tore the lobe from the piercing. This is something we commonly see, and is simple to repair. The most important thing is to match, even every the very outer edge of the earlobe because this outside edge is that part that is most noticeable, particularly if these is a little notch, or unevenness. As you can see, this is done under local anesthesia.
