Poppin’ a Difficult Cyst on the Scalp & FaceTiming with Chris Brown!

To those of you sending negative messages because of our conversation with Chris Brown need to step off. He is a friend of the patients’ and it was a surprise that he joined us for a minute. We are forgiving nor are we endorsing any behavior that anyone exhibits outside of my office. We take the best care we can of any patient that we have, no matter who they are or where they come from. By no means does our interaction with our patient or his friends mean to endorse or insult anyone’s actions. So, please, stop with the negative comments that have nothing to do with this procedure whatsoever.

This fantastic person is EJ King (Follow him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Snapchat as @EJKing21). He is a well respected and highly sought after fashion stylist and is a cast member of a new series on BET, “About The Business”. He is Chris Brown’s personal stylist, and Chris Brown is a serious popaholic!

EJKing has had this pilar cyst on his scalp for quite awhile, and told me he had been seeing a plastic surgeon who has repeatedly been squeezing on this bump to try to remove the contents. Doesn’t exactly make sense to my why this other physician is doing this (and I’m sure this doesn’t make sense to many of you who watch me videos!), but I think this is the reason that this pilar cyst was the most difficult one I’ve ever removed. It was just squashed into his scalp, would ooze continuously for him, and would not pop out easily at all as you can see.

I think he was not really feeling a lot of pain during our procedure but he experienced a lot of pain when it was mashed on continuously by someone else, so he was really almost anticipating discomfort like that during this procedure. Also, I’m aware that patients can really hear what I’m doing through their skull. I don’t know exactly how to explain it, I guess similar to how when we brush out hair we can hear the brush pulling through our hair and rubbing on our scalp. I knew he wasn’t in that much pain, since he could make business calls and check his phone and of course, I try to talk to him to distract him as you know I always do.

What a treat it was to get to FaceTime with Chris Brown! I bet not many people can say they’ve done THAT!
