My Acne Story and How I Cleared my Skin

In this video, Samantha Rizzo shares her acne experience and what she’s been dealing with. She also shares some of the products that she tried (both that worked and didn’t work).

Sam’s Acne Journey

– Sam dealt with her acne when she was in grade 8/grade 9.
– They were more like cosmetic acne like what most adults would have.
– She shied away from photos and grew bangs to cover her acne
– Sam went under birth control pills (Yasmin) when she was 16 years old, as recommended by her doctor.
– Sam felt like the birth control pill does not work well anymore so she quit it. She went to see a dermatologist who put her on Doxycyline pills right away.
– She tried almost every method or solution to treat or cure her acne. Her relationship suffered due because of acne and avoided everyone.
– Sam started eating more vegetables and cutting off dairy from her diet. She also started being gentle with her self and her skin.

Some pointers to remember:

– Start eating more vegetables.
– Junk foods and sugary drinks can be bad for your skin’s health too
– Be gentle with yourself and your skin.
– Getting a clear skin takes a lot of patience.
– What matters most is the value you give to yourself. Don’t beat yourself up because of your acne.
– Stop focusing or caring too much about your acne
– Your value is not based on your acne or any other skin issue
– The only thing that matters is how you feel about yourself
