For medical education- NSFE. Milia are superficial small cysts just below the skin surface. They are common and benign, but cannot be extracted by just squeezing like many blackheads/comedones can. A nick has to be made in the skin in order to squeeze them out with a comedone extractor. This can hurt, but this woman was so patient and resilient, it didn’t bother her at all!
