Intro: Hello Perfect Beauties! My Name is Ariel and today, on TMI Tuesdays, we’ll be talking about how relationship can cause Acne. Yes, love can cause zits! Thus romance do a real problem on your skin.

Here are some points where a dreamiest of relationships can adversely affect your skin, and what you can do about it.

Unprotected Cuddling
Whether your partner is blemish-prone or not, smushing your face up against another person’s skin will inevitably expose you to oils. Night sweats from your partner ensures that you’ve got yourself in trouble.

How to avoid having acne without sacrificing cuddling?
make sure your sheets and blankets are always clean–especially your pillowcase
keep the room you sleep in cool to keep the sweating to a minimum
Hop in the shower (together) to wash off the day’s dirt before climbing to bed
Adjust your sleep positions so that your face, or other breakout prone areas like your back or chest, isn’t mashed up against your partner

Kissing
Kissing can expose you to the balance of someone else’s mug, and it can lead to irritation and breakouts.

What to do?
If your partner’s skin is too oily for your, gently suggest a good oil-reducing cleanser
a good stash of face wipes in your bedside table for post “sexy” time is such a great idea

My Boyfriend has Beard!
Some dudes look hot with a beard, but your BF’s facial hair isn’t doing your pretty face any favors when it comes to breakouts. As you and your guy hook up, your smooth face rubs against his hairy one, creating friction, which causes his prickly hair to stimulate oil production on your face, causing blemishes and even beard burn.

What to do:
Kindly ask him to shave his beard in the name of flawless skin.
Or beg him to condition his beard with coconut oil, so it doesn’t feel like tiny swords stabbing your face every time you kiss and leave you with acne.
Men should be shampooing and conditioning their beards once they’re long enough to keep them from getting gross anyway.

Being Exposed to New Products and Irritants
If you move in with your partner, you may be exposed to new stuff inside his house. Surprise irritants like laundry detergent, different face products, toothpaste, or even just more air conditioning can cause rashes, breakouts and blemishes.
End: Relationship itself has a lot of challenges and problems along the way, but do not let skin problems be one of those problems.
