Incorporating Chinese Medicine Into Your At Home Skincare Routine
In this video, Daisy shares how traditional Chinese medicine such as acupuncture works in your skincare and how to incorporate them. She also shares or mentions commonly used herbal medicines you can use in your skincare.
– Traditional Chinese medicine such as acupuncture/herbal medicine has been commonly practiced. Acupuncture deals with issues in the flow of Qi (Chi) in our body. Acupuncture works by inserting a needle to either remove blockage for the flow of Qi to increase or slow down the flow.
– Acupuncture works the same as the Banisher Roller by activating your own body’s own healing mechanisms by creating micro traumas or micro holes. In doing so, it activates your nervous, immune and endocrine system at the same time to boost your body’s ability to heal injuries.
– Acupuncture can also be used to increase your skin’s healing ability as part of your skin care routine. It promotes blood flow and activates your skin’s repair system so that your skin heals old scars or spots.
– Herbal medicine, on the other hand, focuses on healing from within where Chinese medicine practitioners use a combination of herbs to restore balance, strength and immunity (either ingested or applied topically).
