Girls get concerned with every little detail on their body, but that’s okay. We kind of have to keep track of our body because changes happen and it can happen fast.

In this video, Daisy shares why girls get hairy nipples, when is it not a normal thing and how to treat or safely remove hair from the nipples even when you’re just at home.

There are many reasons why girls get hairy nipples and these includes (but not limited to) the following:

– There are hair follicles around the areola.
– Hormonal changes/fluctuations
– Medications

Now the question is how will you know if it no longer normal? The following sites some of the examples of when it is not normal to have hairy nipples:

– If there is an increasingly large amount of hair growing around your nipples.
– If the hair growth is starting to look more like male chest hair (Hirutism)

As indicated above, this video also shares some tips on how to safely remove the hair from the nipples:

– Trimming
– Tweezing
– Waxing or Sugaring

Just a quick note, don’t use at home waxing kits on the breasts or nipples area since these areas are more sensitive. We also don’t recommend shaving the hair from the nipples since you may cut yourself by accident. Furthermore, shaving can also increase the risk of developing ingrown hairs or infection when the hairs grow again.
