DIY HAIR AND FACE MASK W/INGREDIENTS FROM YOUR OWN KITCHEN!

Here is my favorite face and hair mask. The great thing is it can be used in your hair and face! It makes my face feel so smooth and moisturized after. It makes my hair so soft and manageable as well. All you need are bananas, honey, coconut oil, olive oil and avocado.

Avocado- contain over 25 vital nutrients including vitamins (A, B, C, E, and K) and minerals such as copper, potassium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. Avocados are filled with vitamin A which helps purging off any dead skin cells. The antioxidants in avocados detoxify your body removing all the toxins that tend to lead your skin to age prematurely. It also helps eliminating the wrinkles giving your skin a youthful glow. Avocado oil’s wonderful moisture retaining abilities make it an excellent moisturizer for dehydrated skin type. It deep moisturizes your skin and nourishes it from inside out. Avocado oil is a natural sunscreen.
Olive oil- Olive oil has anti-inflammatory effects meaning it reduces facial redness and swelling due to acne or dryness. Antioxidants in olive oil help repair skin damage, soothe and relieve chapped, itchy and cracked skin and help rebuild the skin’s moisture barrier to prevent further moisture loss from occurring — and as a bonus those antioxidants will also reduce damage that leads to wrinkles and discoloration. To top it all off, it does not clog pores.
Coconut oil- Coconut oil naturally clears away dirt, grime, and dead skin cells. It even has some antibacterial properties, killing off harmful bacteria. Coconut oil also provides deep moisture. It helps strengthen underlying tissues and helps remove excessive dead cell on the skin’s surface that makes your skin rough and flaky in texture and the fatty acids help reinforce the skin’s natural lipid barrier. If your skin is not oily, coconut oil can be used as a night moisturizer and lip balm. You can find raw, extra-virgin, non-hydrogenated coconut oil at your local health food store.
Bananas- It contains many nutrients including vitamins A, B, C and E along with minerals like potassium, zinc, iron and manganese. The Vitamin A present in banana restores the lost moisture and repairs the damaged, dull and dry skin. The Vitamin C in it helps maintain a youthful glow. Bananas also help to reduce eye-bags because the potassium rich banana draws out excess fluid from under my skin and reduces the swelling immediately.
Honey- Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention. Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging. It is extremely moisturizing and soothing because it has the ability to absorb and retain moisture in skin. Raw honey is commonly used on wounds to promote the healing process. You can buy raw honey at your local health food store.
