Dilated Pore Treatment

A dilated pore is usually occupied by a keratotic plug, whose content can be easily drained. However, simple drainage will not prevent this pore from filling again within a short period of time (one month). Therefore, to ensure that the pore closes completely and permanently, we need to remove the capsule which contains the material. The treatment consists of “cooking” the sac using a low to medium intensity of HF without causing collateral damage in the interfollicular area. Once the capsule disappears, the pore closes automatically, without leaving any form of scar.
