Cyst within a scar, excised. For medical education- NSFE.

For medical education- NSFE. An example that not all cysts are easy to remove. When a cyst has been partially excised in the past (as in this case) or has been inflamed or infected previously, there is much fibrosis and scarring making it very difficult to remove a cyst whole and almost impossible to squeeze it out through a small hole. At the end of this video, you can see as I cut through the cyst- the cyst is actually quite small but encased in a lot of scar tissue. Personally, I think it’s much more fun to remove a untouched, intact, never been irritated cyst. But here ya go!
