A Standard Cyst excision on the back. For medical education- NSFE.

For medical education- NSFE. This patient has an epidermoid cyst on the back, which has bothered her for many years, mainly because of the appearance. She was very self conscious and didn’t like people to touch her on her upper back. Here, I remove the cyst completely, attempting to remove it out a relatively small excision.
Cysts are very common, and benign growth, but will not go away and can recur if squeezed or infected, if the sac of the cyst still remains. Only total excision can prevent recurrence.
