HOW TO GET RID OF CHICKEN SKIN ON ARMS, THIGHS AND BUTT: KEROTOSIS PILARSIS DML style

Keratosis Pilaris is a skin condition that causes patches of small, hard bumps that kind of look like acne. It is harmless and typically appears on upper arms and thighs.

KP occurs when keratin clumps up around a hair follicle. The more keratin and dead skin cells that build up, the larger the bump. sometimes hair can get trapped beneath the keratin debris. It affects half of the population and is believed to be a genetic disorder, all it takes is a single gene from either parent to inherit bumpy, keratin clogged skin.

Things you can do to improve KP include:

Moisturizing your skin well.

Use a humidifier to add moisture to the air, and as a result, to your skin.

Shower with warm water, not hot.

There’s a clear theme here – moisturization!

You can also apply topical retinoids to reduce the appearance of KP.

Applying milk or yogurt to the affected area may also help.

And of course, staying hydrated by drinking lots of water.

You can also reduce inflammation and prevent infection by dabbing your KP with a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar.

Make sure you give the treatment time to work. Use them consistently for a couple of weeks before you decide they aren’t working. KP may be annoying but its actually not harmful, so don’t worry too much if it isn’t going away.
