Solar Comedones on Motorcyclist Part 1

Hello YouTube Family!
I took your advise and did not reveal personal info on this particular client in hopes of maybe getting more clients to sign up to be videoed. This gentleman came with complaints of having blackheads that he could not get ride of. After a thorough consult and going over his skin care regimen and life style history.

I concluded that he has a condition called ” Solar or Senile Comedones which arise on the face of the middle-aged and elderly. They affect areas that have been exposed to sunlight over a long period of time, particular on the cheeks, around the eyes and forehead, which may become yellow and leathery (Solar Elastosis). The comedones may be open (Blackheads)or closed (whiteheads).”

This particular client has what is considered elastosis: it causes the skin of the affected area to become yellow, leathery and thick and also starts to develop furrows.

Three Main Causes:
1. Free radical damage that is related to UV exposure as well as smoking.

2. Intense exposure to the sun in case of people, who originate from cold climates and spend much time in the bright daylight;

3. Intense sun exposure in case of really enlarged pores in elderly people.
